<日本語説明>\r1800年代中旬に一斉を風靡したステレオグラフ（立体写真）の歴史性、風土性、スタイルなどを考察する一冊。商業出版の通常のスタイルの書誌情報がなく私家版と思われる。\r\r著者のWilliam C. Darrahはステレオグラフ研究者として知られていた人物で、1940年代の中盤にこの得意なメディア形式の作品を多く発見し、その歴史や成り立ちの研究を行い作品の持つ社会的な意味づけや作品の分類を行いました。本書にも多くのステレオグラフ（立体写真）のサンプルが収載されています。\r\r日本に一冊あるかないかというレベルの極めて稀な一冊。\r\rステレオグラフの歴史的考察については以下MoMAサイトを参照下さい。\rhttps://www.moma.org/collection/terms/stereograph\r\r\rSteteographs is the media that was boomed in mid 18950s. William C. Darrah, the author of this book, became fascinated on this media when he discovered in 1940s. Given the fact that there’s no standard biographical information contained at the title page, the book seems like his private work.
