Giving back to the community and those most in need stands at the core of our Tantus Tech values. We organize yearly events and in-office holiday drives to sponsor some of the charities we support through our #TantusCares initiative, which includes the Tigerlily Foundation, the Ronald McDonald House Charities, as well as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Below are details about each charity and ways that you can get involved:
The Tigerlily Foundation is a national breast cancer foundation whose mission is to provide education, awareness, advocacy, empowerment, and hands-on support to young women ages 15 to 45 before, during, and after breast cancer. They encourage women to feel powerful, fearless, and beautiful in every stage of their journey. How can you lend a hand? Volunteer and help distribute materials at healthcare provider offices, conduct research, or get the training needed to become a peer volunteer. You can also become an ANGEL as part of their Advocate Now to Grow, Empower and Lead (ANGEL) Program, which provides training for women to understand how breast cancer affects younger women, or become an ambassador and use your voice to work on community outreach initiatives. Please visit https://www.tigerlilyfoundation.org/ for more information.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) provide a place for families to call home so they can stay close to their hospitalized child at little to no cost. They work to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. A simple donation goes a long way to help bring healthcare services to underserved communities. You can volunteer at one of their chapters by cooking, greeting, or listening and helping in any way needed. You can also join #TeamRMHC in the Chicago Marathon each year to help raise money that goes to building or expanding a House and providing more snacks and services in a Family Room. At #TantusTech, we participate in our local chapter’s Red Shoe 5K Run and Walk to help fund their programs and the families they serve. Please visit https://www.rmhc.org/ to learn more.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a nonprofit organization that helps grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a critical illness. A small wish can be the turning point in these kids’ lives and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illnesses. A wish is granted every 34 minutes and for every wish, there are 3 more children whose wishes need your financial support.
You can help grant life-changing wishes through innovative and customized sponsorship programs. Fundraising a company event is another way to help support this nonprofit. Check out https://wish.org/ for more details.
At Tantus Tech., we believe that it is our responsibility to give back what we can to those that need it most, from taking the time to volunteer to sponsorships at marathons.
